Hey - just wondering how anyone has managed having fire marshalls in hybrid working? We used to have HR and office manager as fire marshalls but now with our hybrid approach those people aren't always in

Hi all! I am pivoting from a full head of people role to a role focused on workplace experience and design - curious to know what people have done/know of the following as I have been so focused on HR I feel a little rusty on workplace: • Certifications related workplace • Current trends in workplace management • Covid specific policies & procedures (general for now, will need to think through local eventually) • Current trends in workplace design

Hi Team, would anyone like to share how are you handling culture related challenges, with a transition to a Hybrid- work model? Has anyone introduced concepts such as no meeting Fridays, etc? If so, how have they been received by your employees and are you seeing a positive impact?

Hi all, we've been looking into how often people are returning to the office. Interestingly we've found the biggest driver is your job title. Sales people are top of the tree going in 2.4 times on average per week. That's not a huge surprise given the role is characterised by high amounts of collaboration and extroverted individuals. Whereas our bosses are leading from behind. People in leadership positions are in just 1.9 days a week. Which must be very nice.  At the bottom of the scale, are the support team. Again, no surprise there. Most support and customer service roles can easily be done from home and are only going in 1.9 times a week.  The difference between 1.9 days a week and 2.4 might not sound like much, but over the course of a year that's an extra month in the office. So if you're a salesperson who's fallen in love with working from home, it might be time for a career change.

Hey all! A general question on hybrid work, and I would like to pick some brains on workplace wellbeing strategies. We're currently auditing our offering to all staff - for example, ensuring that the US teams get equal opportunities and support to our European. I was wondering if anyone has a post-Covid wellbeing strategy they'd like to share? Previously we offered yoga for staff on Mondays, healthy lunches, volunteer days etc, but have found with hybrid working it's a little harder to navigate. Some ideas we're floating and trialling at the moment: • access to therapy ◦ we enquired to some slack integrated therapy services but have found that our staff are happier choosing their own provider, and we can financially support this where possible • access to healthcare and dental care ◦ our US teams have chosen healthcare providers, and our European teams have expressed interest in this. Does anyone have any tips on where to start looking for providers? • mental health days as opposed to sick days ◦ we're pretty good at this anyway w flexible working policies, but interested to know what other office policies include and look like! • ensuring staff use holiday ◦ making sure people take enough time off to recharge ◦ especially those who have accrued lots over furlough • organised team days / lunches in office to boost morale / internal culture ◦ officely has been great for this! is there anything your operations and wellbeing teams are focussing on? what's a priority for your teams right now? thanks! 💆

Hi everyone! I'm working on a piece for the Officely blog about the best hybrid work schedule. I'd love to chat with managers about their hybrid work schedules, whether it's led by employees or managers. If you'd like to contribute to the piece, please reply in the thread and I'll reach out to you. Thanks.

Hi team, we have been brainstorming useful resources that we can make available (for free) to companies transitioning to hybrid work. A couple of ideas we've had so far: • A hybrid handbook - detailing all the important policies for hybrid work. Such as expensing office travel, stipends for home office equipment etc. • A hybrid checklist - a checklist of everything you need to think about before transitioning your workforce to hybrid work. Which would be most helpful for you? If none of the above, anything else?

i think core aspects for us right now are how other companies are planning their hybrid work. is it up to the staff or set in stone? for example, we do free lunch on tuesdays (all our offices have this, and works to get people in!), and then team days on wednesdays and thursdays in one of our offices. we're trialling it with one office first, while our other offices are very much come-when-you-like.

Hey everyone, thanks all so much for your feedback on the hybrid checklist, here's our initial outline (more information will be included in the final version), is there anything we are missing? • Gauge Employees Sentiment About Hybrid Work • Consult Your Legal Team About Hybrid Work Laws • Choose Your Hybrid Work Model (Majority Remote/Flex/Majority In-Office) • Create Your Hybrid Work Policies • Pick a Hybrid Work Schedule • Set Communication Guidelines for Hybrid Work • Plan Hybrid-Friendly Work Events • Repurpose Your Office Space for Hybrid Work

I'm curious how you all have been keeping your staff connected while working remotely? Our organization has grown considerably since April 2020 and many of our staff have never met each other in person. If they're not on the same teams many don't even have contact with each other via slack, zoom, etc. We used to have a very friendly office where spontaneous collaboration could happen. Due to the new office model and a larger team our culture will never be what it was before but we're not sure how to create a connected culture moving forward. I'm trying to avoid remote versions of workplace events as no one is very enthused about those.

hey all, potentially more of a rogue question, but i was wondering if anyone has experience in working with (- i hate this term -) digital nomads on payroll? many of our staff are choosing to work hybridly between cities, and i want to ensure we're following a standard of practice before everyone decides to jet off for a few months when they are usually based elsewhere! 🌴 i was reading this earlier today, and it has provoked a few thoughts. would appreciate any insight, thanks!

Hi all, our hybrid work checklist seemed to be really valuable. Are there any other templates we can produce that will help you transition to hybrid work? Here are some ideas we've had, would love to hear your thoughts: • Return to work guidelines • Return to work survey • Return to work policy • Return to work plan • Hybrid work from home policy • Hybrid work policy template • COVID office health survey Is there anything else you need to create specifically for hybrid work?

Hi all, we've been hard at work creating content for you all, here's what we've released over the last month: • Are you ready for hybrid work test - a survey to give you recommendations on how to get ready for hybrid work • The 6 challenges of hybrid work and how to overcome them • The hybrid work checklist • Hot desking 101 - a guide to efficient desk sharing for hybrid work • Is your company ready for hybrid work - 7 questions to ask • The best hybrid work schedule is set by employees, not managers As ever, if there is anything we can write about that would help you, let us know!

Curious how people are building out their office management/workplace teams in this new hybrid work model? I still currently have the traditional team of local office managers (called workplace experience managers) and then myself as the director. Though I am finding that I don't need real office managers rather I need more vendor like support when it comes to the day to day office stuff like cleaning/stocking etc. We were considering revamping the structure of my team and I'd be curious if anyone else has done that?

Hi all, , I have a question, to connect people in the current Covid-19 situation we created an Intranet. Now I would like to bring this Intranet to life and I was wondering if there are some inspirational groups (maybe on LinkedIn) where I can find some inspiration/idea's for things to share. I am curious if anyone of you is taking the lead on an intranet and maybe we can inspire each other.

Hoping to find metrics on Workplace + Facilities if anyone has their own experience or data to share, that would be so appreciated! 1. If you are keeping office space, did you keep what you have? downsize? redesign and/or expand? 2. For those fully remote, are you providing any options for employees to get together for collaboration and socialization in person? 3. If you are in an office space, what are you seeing the space used for - day to day work? socialization and events? Team meetings/collaboration/training sessions?
